WHMIS

Overview

Workplace accidents and illnesses often result from workers not knowing about the hazards of the products they are handling. WHMIS was developed to deal with this problem. It is a system for making sure that important information about hazardous materials is passed on to the people who handle those products.

This course covers the Workplace Hazardous Information System. This system will cover introduction and recognition of WHMIS controlled products, its labels, MSDS and responsibilities, worker education, personal protective equipment, terms and regulations.
